Sacramento LGBT Community Center
Wyld believes that human rights reflect the rights of all humans regardless of race, sexuality, gender, faith, outward presentation or origin. Wyld celebrates the courage, strength, and resilience within the LGBTQIA+ community, and welcomes all - no matter who you are or where you’re at.
The Sacramento LGBT Community Center works to create a region where LGBTQ+ people are able to thrive. Wyld supports the health and wellness of marginalized people, advocates for equality and justice, and works to build a culturally rich LGBTQ+ community. The Sacramento LGBT Community Center envisions:
An end to youth homelessness
Medical care and employment opportunities for transgender people that are equitable with those of cisgender white men
No new HIV infections
Ongoing coordination among all LGBTQ+ serving organizations
Civic institutions where LGBTQ+ people are equitably represented and engaged
Older LGBTQ+ adults having affirming housing, long term care, and social activities where they are safe and welcome
Sacramento Pride as the largest celebration of diversity in the region
Wyld has partnered with LGBT center Sacramento to address the many inequalities the LGBTQ communities are experiencing every day. Wyld works to provide educational and economic empowerment that improves the quality of life for LGBTQ+ individuals and families, and develops future leaders within the community.
