Why trees? Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines.
One Tree Planted is an organization focused on global reforestation, with a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. One Tree Planted creates a healthier climate, protects biodiversity, and helps reforestation efforts around the world.
One Tree Planted has identified the six pillars that explain just how much trees do for us, and why it is in our best interest as a planet to protect our forests: air filtration, water quality and flood prevention, biodiversity within forest habitats, the social impact provided by forestry jobs, health and stress relief, and climate cooling.
With partners across 43 countries, One Tree Planted is leading projects to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for wildlife. Wyld has partnered with One Tree Planted to support their mission through multiple projects across North America -- making a difference in the world through planting trees.
Through planting trees with OTP, Wyld is able to make an impact on the world around us, working to ensure that future generations may live healthier, more sustainable lives.
